Shanah City Church began in 2018 with a handful of families, a rented room, and a conviction that Aurora needed a church where the presence of God was welcomed without apology and every person was genuinely known.
The word Shanah carries the sense of a new season — of change, repetition made new, of God doing something fresh. That is what we prayed for then and it is what we keep praying now: that no one would leave this house the same as they came in.
Today we are a multicultural family drawn from more than eighteen nations, gathering every Sunday to worship, to open the Bible together, and to work out what it means to follow Jesus in this city.
